The 2013 Kia Rio is a subcompact car that provides a great option for the drivers in the market for this class. The 2013 Kia Rio is available in either a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback model (named Rio 5). The base LX comes standard with 15-inch steel wheels, air-conditioning, heated power mirrors, a tilt-only steering wheel, a trip computer, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and a four-speaker sound system with a CD player and iPod/USB interface. The Power package adds to 2013 Kia Rio LX power windows, keyless entry, and power locks.

The EX adds cruise control, upgraded cloth upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a six-speaker audio system and Bluetooth phone connectivity. The Convenience package adds 15-inch alloy wheels, foglamps, automatic headlights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-folding mirrors, a rearview camera and a small touchscreen interface. The Eco package includes automatic stop/start system.

The SX trim level of 2013 Kia Rio includes the EX Convenience package items and adds 17-inch wheels, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, LED running lights and a sport-tuned suspension. The Premium package adds keyless ignition, keyless entry, a sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a navigation system and a larger touchscreen interface.

The 2013 Kia Rio greets drivers and passengers with a bold and modern cabin, centered on Kia’s horizontal three-cylinder instrument panel and a two-tone color scheme to emphasize a feeling of spaciousness and comfort.

The 2013 Kia Rio is powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline direct-injection (GDI) four-cylinder engine that produces 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque. Standard on the LX is a six-speed manual transmission. Optional on the LX and standard on the other trims is a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy estimates for 2013 Kia Rio stand at 28 mpg city / 36 mpg highway with the automatic transmission, 29/37 mpg with manual transmission and 30 mpg city/ 36 mpg highway with automatic and start/stop system.

Standard safety features of 2013 Kia Rio include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, six airbags, electronic stability control, brake and hill start assist and traction control.
